Set in the original farm buildings of Poundbury Farm, and nestled in the stunning centre of the expanding Poundbury Village on the edge of Dorchester, you will find a traditional garden centre full of rustic charm and original features. Opened officially in March 2006, by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, Poundbury Gardens is full of exciting plants and an experienced team to offer expert advice and service.
With a two-year hardy plant guarantee, tree planting, plant hire and garden design among its many services, Poundbury Gardens has everything you need to enjoy the garden all year round, not forgetting its award-winning Christmas displays from October to December.
The garden centre’s welcoming and knowledgeable staff have a broad and deep knowledge of gardening and enjoy giving advice to customers to ensure that the plants or products chosen are the right ones – and that they will flourish in gardens across the local area.
Poundbury Gardens is open seven days a week and can be found along Peverell Avenue in Poundbury. Free parking is available onsite and once you’ve finished shopping for the garden you can visit the on-site Owen & Simpson Cookshop and The Potting Shed, (an Olives Et Al deli) before heading to The Engine Room Restaurant, which is perfect for a cup of coffee or a delicious lunch.
